Racer X Films: BTO Sports KTM Fire at Unadilla - YouTube Racer X Illustrated

On Friday night, around 8 p.m. the BTOSports.com-WPS-KTM rig caught fire in the pits of the Unadilla National. Luckily, no team members were in the trailer at the time and no one was injured. The fire was eventually contained, but the inside of the rig suffered extensive damage. The team’s tools, parts and the rider’s gear bag also suffered damage. All three bikes were a total loss. Thanks to a selfless group effort backed by Troy Lee Designs KTM, Red Bull KTM, and Rockstar Energy Factory Husqvarna, BTO Sports KTM was able to pull enough spare parts together and get enough help to completely rebuild bikes for Justin Brayton, Benny Bloss and Andrew Short to race the next day. This is how it all came together.
